Wow, week five has come upon us very quickly. Hopefully, you hare settled in to the pace of the class and are no longer having any issues with WebCT. . .and I am much happier in our new room! Don't forget, we have switched to University Hall 271. Ensure you are checking that your assignments have been graded or returned and please complete any redos quickly. Don't forget to ask if you have any questions or tech issues.
This week: Have you completed your NETS intro on TaskStream? Are you reading the blog and answering the weekly question? Since we didn't get to work on the PowerPoint Assignment last week, I'll introduce the assignment this week and then we'll also learn how to create rubrics to grade them. I'll postpone the Inspiration to next week.
Journal #4: As ISTE still hasn't posted the Sept Issue online, and most of you probably haven't received your first issue, I'll allow you to find an article from past issues of ISTE, or use the link on the blog to search one of the other online mags (T*H*E Journal, Edutopia, etc.), or any other site/magazine that deals with issues of educational technology. If you need an article: Search L&L, Vol30, Issue 6, "Designing to Learn: A Focus on Design in Project-Based Learning" by Dianne McGrath.
This week's question: What's your learning style? Predict first, then take this online survey and tell everyone your learning style.

I know Iam a visual learner, Isee things in my head and that helps me remember and store info. I took test and it confirmed that i was a visual learner.
I thought I was a visual learner but then I took the test and it said I was an unknown learner. Now my whole life makes sense!
Before the test I thought I was a visual learner and, voila, I am a visual learner. This was solidified for me years ago when I took a language course that was entirely auditory. Not only did I not learn anything, I became very frustrated during every class and was frequently reprimanded for writing information down during class.
I predicted that I was a visual learner and I was right. If something is totally new to me, I like to see it, touch it and practice before I become comfortable. It's more fun that way.
I predicted I would be a visual learner, and guess what - I was right. School has been easy when I had to rely on visual cues: textbooks, white boards, etc. I'm not a kinesthetic learner. My brothers are, and they are much better in geometry and art than I am. Also, I wish I had a photographic memory because then school would be even easier!
I was pretty sure I was a visual learner even before I took the test. The test confirmed my suspicions. I remember things much better if I see them and write them down. I enjoy making things with my hands and am always working on some type of art project at home.
I see myself as a visual learner, information doesn't stick as well in spoken form. The test confirmed this.
I am definitely a visual learner, with some tactile thrown in, but the quiz said I was an unknown learner. Hmmmmm.....
I thought that I was a visual learner but found out, according to the test I am a tactile learner.
Surprise, I am an autitory learner according to the survey. I always thought of my self as a visual or hands on learner because I need to see or practice what ever it is I am learning to fully understand it. Very Interesting!!!
I am more of a visual learner, I have notice usually when I see someone do it then usually, I can copy what they did and I understand. The test says that I am a tactile learner.
I predicted that I was a visual learner - and my prediction was substantiated! I also learned that I am an analytic learner. I guess that is true also! School has been relatively easy for me and I would definitely rather be here than work! :)
I thought I was a visual learner and I am.
I predicted that I might find out about the different learning styles, and I have found 3. However I am an auditory learner, maybe.
I figured that my learning style was hands on and then visual. The test came out just the way I thought. I like the question about interrupting people to get ones thoughts out. Man, I am guilty of that problem. :>)
I am a hands-on learner. I Iearn best when I am involved with the information. When I took the quiz it comfirmed my prediction, but I learned that I was also a strong visual learner.
I thought I am a visual learner, and the test confirmed that. I have to write things down all the time to remember them, and I often remember where things fall on a page when taking a test.
No surprise, I am a visual learner! I have always had to write things down multiple times and "see' the content in my head to understand. It is important for students to understand how they best learn.

Just as I had suspected, I am a Visual Learner.
I have always been a visual learner. In recent years, because of my career path, I've had to train myself to become a better auditory learner, but visuals are still my strength. After taking the on line survey, my learning style was confirmed. However, like I said, sometimes visuals are not always available, so listening for keywords, phrases, and directions has been very helpful in completing projects asked of me.
I had predicted that i was a visual learner, but the test tells me that I am an auditory learner. I am surprised because i always thought I needed help with the listening skills
I am a auditory but have some visual learner. I enjoyed the reading about the strengths, stategies, activities, and traits of each of the different learning styles.

I came up as a visual learner which surprised me. I thought I was both visual and auditory, but primarily auditory. I even listened to facts on my MP3 to study for my CSET
