I hope no one is still sleepy from the Thanksgiving Feast. Well, two weeks left and you still have some work to do! I really hope some of you were able to get some film shot as it will save you a few trips back to the university! The goal for next week is to ensure we have all of your artifacts loaded for TaskStream and then we will watch the cool movies you made!
What is still due: Inspiration & Journals 6-10 (to include the web 2.0 evaluation), edTechProfile-Post, TaskStream (finish narratives for II-VI), iMovie Software proficiency (if you haven't already turned it in) and your social justice group movies.
I was successful in securing the Pub Drive for this class. When you are on campus, do this:
1) Do Go > Connect to Server
2) Enter "afp://afp1" and click OK.
3) login using the info above(using your CSUSM password). You'll see a list of shares.
4) Choose the jheil share and click OK.
This way, everyone can store movie files and anyone in the group can access the content. As this is public, please ensure you title your folders specifically, so no one accidentally gets into your content!!
I will also try to come to campus next Monday to help anyone who might need assistance with things past due. . .
This week's Question: What has been your favorite assignment to date and why? Feel free to do the same for your least favorite!

My favorite assignment up to this point has to be Insiration/Kidspriration. I was very impressed with how it can add to the process of teaching and learning writing in the classroom. It is always a task to get student to prewrite, create webs or other graphic organizers prior to their drafts and final draft. The kidspiration seemed to be a way to attract students to the prewriting process, as well as create visuals to enable each student to express their ideas more clearly. My least favorite assignment was the EdTech profile because it showed how little I knew and was capable of on the computer. I am not looking forward to doing it again!!
My favorite assignment so far was the power point assigment, but I know I am going to make the movie my favorite. I love to make movies.
I liked the news letter, it was an easy assignment, but it also had alot of computer skills involved, and showed everyones creative side.
I like the idea of the I-movie but wish it had been assigned earlier.
My favorite assignment was making a powerPoint presentation. I have always wanted to learn how to do that. I've seen many teachers use them, and thought they looked impressive. Turns out, they're easier than they look. My least favorite assignment was the spreadsheet. I wish we had time to learn photoshop. I'd love to be able to alter my pictures.
My favorite assignment thus far has been the journal assignments. I rarely find time to read and learn from peer in my discipline, much less technology. One article actually discussed science in schools and has inspired me to consider magnet/charter schools for my children.
I am still wrestling with the i-movie, and hope I can pull it off in a couple of weeks. It will be nice to be able to do this time of production, as I have zero experience at the moment!
My favorite assignment was Power Point. It took me awhile to learn the program, as I had never used it before, but I had a blast putting it all together once I understood how it worked.
I really learned a lot in this class! It was so challenging for me, as almost all of it was completely new, but also a lot of fun. Thanks!

My favorite assignment is a close tie between the blog and PowerPoint assignment. I've always wanted to learn how to utilize this tools. The blog was fun and creative, and PowerPoint is so useful for life.
My least favorite was a tie between the imovie and excel. I don't know either, and I felt intimidated by both programs. Now, I am an expert at both - just kidding!
Mt favorite assignment is happening right now - the imovie about social justice. My dream of teaching is just a tithing toward a larger goal of participating in the ongoing evolution of social justice. What that is...is dynamic..which allows for ongoing and ever changing dialogue about what is "just" in our society...and what is "just" for humanity - and why the differnce....It is my only hope to be a participant in this debate...and that is why the iimovie is my favorite assignment....hee hee hee
My favorite assignment so far has been the imovie. I love to do work where I can be creative and I have always wanted to know how to use imovie and I am glad that I know a little bit about it now. Most of the assignments in this class have been benificial so I really do not have a least favorite
My favorite assignment was the PowerPoint. Once I learned how to do some of the things which can be done I just started having fun with the software. I also liked Inspiration. I enjoyed creating the graphic organizer. For some reason I did not care much for the Wiki assignment. To me it was not especially interesting.
My favorite assignment is the movie. I see so many powerful movies on YouTube and it is only natural that I learn how to make them myself so I can share them not only with my students, but also with other educators.
My favorite assignment is the I-movie. I have it installed on my new computer and had not used it yet until now.My least would have to be the Taskstream narratives, but I know it's a necessity and a good exercise.
My favorite assignments would be a close call between power point and the newsletter. Both assignments were fun with hands on learning and cool results. I think if i had more time with imovie it would certainly become one on my favorites as well. Hands down the worst was the copyright one....no surprises there.
My favorite assignment was the journals because I learned so much from the ISTE site. It was really interesting. Another favorite was iMovie because I had never used the program before and found it challenging and fun. I would have like to have had the instructions in writing. I don't have a least favorite because I love new technology.
The assignments that I enjoyed the most were the Newsletter and the Journal Blog. I liked learning the techniques that make a newsletter look really professional and I think a parent newsletter is something I would create and use immediately in my work with children. I like the Journal Blog because I not only enjoyed reading the articles, but I like the fact that now I can create and use a blog.
My favorite assignment was the Web 2.0. I was amazed at all the stuff out there and the way it was presented. My least favorite is the movie assignment, but only because I really had to have patience with the program. Overall, I have been fascinated by what I have learned.
My favorite assignment so far was the Excel project because I liked the way the information interlocked with all the features. Instructions were clear and concise and the expectation was realistic. My least favorite assignment was the PowerPoint because it wasn't a real project, rather an exercise to show the software.
It's not necessarily one particular assignment that I most enjoyed but the ability to apply new skills in order to finish the assignments. But if I have to choose, I have to say the imovie has been most the most intriguing..almost to the point where I could see myself owning a MAC. :)
The least enjoyable...the journals. I don't mind the reading nor the writing. However it's just the fact that everyone can read it too, kinda freaks me out! I think I relate it to public speaking! :0
I would say my favorite assignment is the Newsletter we did in Microsoft Word. I thought I knew everything about Word, and I learned alot of different things that I never knew you could do. It was informatve and interesting.
My favorite assignment to date would have to be the newsletter or the iMovie. I really liked these two assignments because they allowed me to be as creative as I can be without any restrictions. the imovie in particular was really fun. There is so much I could do now, that I always wanted to do when I was younger. All the assignments in this course have been really cool to work and experiment with. I did not have a least favorite, and I know that all these assignments will benefit me in the future as an educator.
It looks like I am alone on this but my fav assignment was excel. Detailed step by step instructions are my kind of thing! Plus, I have to use excel at work (minimally) and I was able to learn some new features. Yipee!
